Food Storage Forecast

It takes 540 peanuts to make a jar of peanut butter and soon we will be paying a lot more per peanut. The latest food storage forecast is looking stormy for peanut butter.

NPR reports that peanut butter manufacturers are now paying double for peanuts. The peanut shortage is because of the drought. The prices at the grocery store will soon reflect the price increase, so you may want to check your P.B. supply.

Just bought more "doubles" from
Sams yesterday. I buy more when I open the next-to-last double on my shelf. At least I won't have o buy till next year. Isn't that the point of preparedness? Buy in times of plenty, so you won't have to purchase when the supplies are short at really elevated prices.
