More Color in Our Food Storage

After all the trouble you go to, you get about as much actual "food" out of eating an artichoke as you would from licking 30 or 40 postage stamps. ~Miss Piggy

Hopefully we will not be depending on licking stamps to get some nourishment in difficult situations. Here are a few more members of the food family that will last a very long time around your house.

The "best by" dates are only suggestions. Many times food will last much longer. Doing a little research will help you find when foods really expire. Here are some more colorful members that can be added to our food storage family.

Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips - 2 years
Popcorn {unpopped} - 2 years
Peanut Butter - 2 years
Cream of Tartar - 2-3 years
Cinnamon, Cloves, Chili Powder, Nutmeg, Oregano leaves, Mustard {dry}, Black Pepper 2-3 years
Maple Extract {imitation} - 4 years

I'm pretty sure that stamps last a really long time too. Especially the forever ones.
