Freezer Jam

We get the whole family involved when we make freezer jam. They cut, they eat, and everyone is happy. They also really like when I make their sandwiches and I tell them this is the jam they made. They feel really happy about that. This is simple and delicious. It last for a year in your freezer too!

Freezer Jam

4 cups of crushed strawberries
3 cups of sugar
1 packet of Sure Jell Premium Fruit Pectin
1 cup of water

Remove stems from strawberries, wash and slice into half. Mash fruit, but don't puree. In a saucepan combine 3 cups of sugar, 1 cup of water and one packet of pectin .

Bring mixture to a boil on medium high heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir crushed strawberries into the hot sugar mixture.

Mix well. Pour into containers, leaving 1/2 inch space at the top for expansion during freezing. Cover.

Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours until set. Refrigerate up to 3 weeks. Otherwise, store in the freezer for up to 1 year.
